I have a specific dietary restriction (ex: gluten, dairy, vegan). Can you accommodate?
We will do our best to accommodate any dietary restrictions, food sensitivities and allergies. We ask that you let us know at the time of booking or as soon as possible. There is no guarantee we can accommodate a request if notice is not given.
Who teaches classes at The Local Epicurean?
Our instructors are all highly-trained and passionate chefs, cooks and food fanatics. We take pride in our team and their ability to create memorable culinary experiences for our guests.
Are drinks available to pair with the menu we choose?
Yes! Our menus are set, but the drinks are up to you. Choose from beer, wine, cocktails and other non-alcoholic beverages to pair with your meal.
How do I book a class?
To book a class, call our shop at (616) 206-5175. We will help you select a date, time and menu that works for you. If you get our answering machine, please leave us a message – we will call you back!
When should I book my class?
We are often booked weeks or months into the future, so plan accordingly. We recommend booking your class at least 6 weeks in advance. To inquire about availability or to book a class, call our shop at 616.206.5175.
Is parking available?
Street parking is available on Wealthy Street and other nearby side streets. Pay attention to parking meters and pay accordingly.
How early should I arrive for my class?
We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes prior to your class start time.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes! We sell class gift certificates ($99) for our three-course menu cooking classes and market gift certificates to shop our food market. All gift certificate sales are final.
How do I redeem a gift certificate?
To redeem your gift card and book a reservation, call our shop at 616.206.5175. Reservations cannot be made without your gift certificate number.
I lost my gift certificate. What do I do?
We record gift certificates by date sold and gift certificate number. If you have misplaced your gift certificate, please have the following information available when requesting a replacement or making a reservation using the missing gift certificate: date of purchase, amount paid and first name of purchaser.
What can I buy with my gift certificate?
Cooking class gift certificates can be used only to book classes; they are not valid for store merchandise, lounge or café purchases. The price paid for market gift certificates never expire and may be used for any merchandise or wine purchase in our shop.
